This poster honors the 160-year legacy of Freedmen’s Town, celebrating its history, resilience, and deep sense of community. Through imagery of homes and powerlines, it reflects connection and belonging. Though I don’t share this lived experience, I approached the design with empathy and respect, aiming to amplify—rather than speak for—the community’s enduring voice.
